Hey Tim, so I have the packages added to Unreal, they show up in the Content Browser. When I select them it says “Nothing to show; check your filter.” So where do I go form here. Should I look up some videos on getting started, do I need to change some settings? Any advice would be awesome! Thanks

Never mind, found the tutorial vids you posted. Kinda feel like an idiot now.

No worries! I’d always rather you ask because the engine can be complex. Something I might not have covered in the tutorial is this;
If you see a package in the content browser and it is grey and does not include the files that you expect then it is because the browser loaded a “preview” of your package. Solution; right-click the package name and choose “Fully Load” or something like that…I do not have the editor in front of me just this second.

Tim! Did you install Unreal on the computers at Wallace? They don’t seem to have them on here…maybe there just isn’t an icon or something.

Chad Bailey said he would cover the installs. Please go ask him if they are done. I know for certain that the pc on the back right corner of the room before the printers has it but it should be on all the pcs. You should be able to type Unreal into the windows search field (the one in the windows start menu)and know if it’s installed.

I am getting a 404 when attempting to download UDK tutorial resources. Can someone please put this file on the shared folder or fix the link?
Tim - January 24, 2012 at 10:40 am
I broke it posting version .2, my apologies. The link is fixed. For future reference, because i don’t think I’ve made it clear, you can always download future versions of that resource package and be assured the assets you need are there. I will only be adding to that package as we move forward so all you need is the latest one.
